History
In 1933, Maurice Léchelon, a civil engineer in the Marine Engineering Department, became a senior engineer at the La Ciotat shipyards.
In 1951, he went “to the other side of the barricade” and became a supplier to the shipyards.
As a customer, he represented, with the title of Technical Director, the Onassis armament company, which was soon to build very large tankers.
As a supplier of auxiliary equipment, from 1955 onwards, he became a consulting engineer for large companies such as Tunzini, Asea and Westinghouse, and also the exclusive representative for France:

In 1976, Matériel Auxiliaire Marine et Industriel S.A.R.L. with a capital of 20.000 Francs, better known as M.A.M.I.
Due to the crisis in the shipbuilding industry in the early 80’s, the company had to stop this representation activity and evolved on a spare parts activity for pumps. Pumps Guinard, Allweiler, IMO Scam, K.S.B., Kral, Desmi, JMW, Leistritz, Iron,…
In the 90’s, we are more specialized in mechanical seals, always in the marine field but nowadays also in the food and industrial field.
In 2005, transform the company name MARINE SEALS S.A.S. with a capital of 175.800 €.
In 2021 will become M.A.M.I. SEAL
